I grew up wearing dresses or skirt and blouse. However, by the time I got to college I began to wear more casual attire including sandals during the summer. I have actually worn jeans to church before, but not to a Sunday morning service.
My sister didn't believe in wearing a pant suit to church until my nephew came along!
She is able to control him better in pants. That's just an active child.
