Can you re-take some of the classes you did poorly in and replace the grade with a new grade? My school used to allow students to do this twice in their academic career. If you replace an F or a D with an A or B, you'd be surprised how much you GPA would go up. Ask if this is a possibility. Anything you can do to raise your GPA would be good, a low GPA can keep you from more than just becoming Greek. It can keep you from getting into grad school, being eligible for certain scholarships, etc.
