As a local sorority unaffiliated with our campus Panhel, we hold at least half our recruitment events during the period in which Panhel runs their recruitment, but we take care to make sure that each specific activity is not conflicting with a Panhel recruitment event. That way, PNMs interested in multiple sororities get a fair chance to check them all out and don't see joining our org as "settling." Of course, at least half our members (rough guesstimate) were never interested in Panhel in the first place, but we don't want them to have to make that decision before recruitment starts. Since we've refined our calendar in this way, our numbers have gone up and we've recruited much more committed women
