I hate to burst your bubble, but according to the director's commentary on the DVD (yes, I love Legally Blonde so much that I sat through the commentary...really interesting, actually) the Delta Nu house was an old private girls' school in Pasadena, or thereabouts.
Also, it was a Delta Gamma chapter that they based Delta Nu off of, not Delta Zeta. I do agree, however, that the similarities between DN and DZ are striking!
