Does your organization have campus lockdown procedures?
Carroll University had a lock down earlier this week due to a possible active shooter (turned out to be someone with an air gun). Barnard/Columbia had a bomb scare tonight and were on lock down for a brief time. MIT has an active shooter on campus right now and is on lock down.
This is happening with increasing frequency. I know all GLOs have fire drills and procedures for those types of events. Does your GLO have lock down procedures? What do they entail? Is there a common place- facebook, email, text- where members check in during a lock down so everybody is accounted for? Is there a procedure for notifying the chapter advisor?
I'd like to hear from a variety of chapter situations- commuter schools, schools with houses and schools without houses.
