As a reference board member for my chapter in a large city in Texas, there is an area I'd like to address. LOR, RIF ??? I would love to see a uniform term for what is needed. I know this sounds picky but I cannot tell you how many letters of support we get for young ladies with no form (required) because the pnm's asks for a letter instead of a reference. How many phone calls and back tracts we have to make. Probably an education on our part but when a board is dealing with several hundred references it can be an issue.
No big deal but a point for discussion. We run 125+ references through our board each year for UT alone and I'm sure others handle more than we do. The requirements for different chapters at UT is mind boggling.
