As part of becoming a full member of the organization, DGs promise to pay dues for the first 50 years of their membership.
Do most members remember this after the day they enter the rolls? Perhaps not. It's not something that would make a big impression on a collegian. But I consider it part of my oath, and my responsibility even if it *weren't* necessary.
