When my husband was an undergrad, they had to be on the look out for guys who just wanted to come by the house and drink their beer. They weren't interested in learning about the fraternity or possibly becoming a pledge; thy just wanted to party on someone else's dime. This was one reason my husband's fraternity was wary of non-members coming to their parties unless is was an actual rush event. Also, the "show me the booze" types seemed to always be the ones to start trouble.
