Guys easily have a harder time getting into parties, and it's near impossible if you're non-Greek or don't have a friend in the house. I do know, however, five fraternities that generally have an "open brother" invite policy... brothers of ABC, DEF, GHI, JK, and LM will all get into each other's parties almost all the time. I think here it's more a "private party" concept than anything. Most of the brothers I know would rather have a private party since it's not only risk management issues but also whatever their social budget allows.
