Finally, it was the final round: Pref Parties!

I only was invited back to two sororities: Flanders and Marge.

I wasn’t very sad that I didn’t get invited back to Mr. Burns, but I was crushed that I didn’t get asked back to Moe. I thought I really connected with those girls, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be.

So I went, dressed in a gorgeous cocktail dress and cute black heels, ready to take on my two pref parties of the day.

Flanders was first. It was a fairly nice pref party, and the girls I talked to were a lot easier to talk to than the ones I had talked to before. I could tell by the speeches that these girls truly loved each other and their sorority, and I knew that they were all nice girls, but I still knew I didn’t fit in with Flanders. We didn’t hold the same values, and I didn’t connect with any of the girls. I really wanted to like them, and I did to an extent, but I just knew it wasn’t where I belonged.

Marge was my second and final pref party. And let me tell you, this pref party confirmed to me that this is where I completely fit in and belonged. They showed a video slideshow of pictures from sisterhoods, community service events, philanthropy events, and other things that was set to the song “Home” by Phillip Phillips, and the moment the song first got to the part where he sang “Just know you’re not alone, cause I’m gonna make this place your home”, I got goosebumps everywhere. That’s exactly what I wanted, was a home away from home. And I felt home when I was with these girls. I felt comfortable talking to every single one of them, and loved everything they stood for. I hoped and prayed that I would be a Marge.

So pref time came, and this time you are to rank which one is your first choice and your second choice.

It went:
1. Marge
2. Flanders

Stay tuned for the conclusion of this story, coming to a thread near you!
