A high school librarian recommended this freshman read Carrie when it came out in 1974. Fascinatingly terrifying! So eerie/cool that it was (then) set in the future.
Didn't see Spacek movie until it was on tv in the 80s. Book way better.
I have never wanted to read any other Stephen King books.
