I run a dog rescue and have used Trifexis quite a bit since Sentinel/ Interceptor was pulled. It does a good job & I have no personally had any dog develop a reaction to it.

I will offer a word of caution about buying over the Internet though. DON'T DO IT!!!

There are SO many fake produts on the Internet. You have no idea if the meds that you buy are real or fraudulent. Heartworm meds are nothing to mess around with. Heartworm treatment is scary, very difficult for the dog and extremely expensive if you get a batch of bad prevention.

FYI, if you buy your heartworm prevention from your vet consistently & your dog does develop any of the worms prevented by the medication, your vet can "go to bat" for you with the drug manufacturer. They will pay to treat your dog for whatever worms (heartworms, hookworms, whipworms, etc.) However, if you buy off the Internet, your vet can do NOTHING for you.

Many vets will match an on-line price. I routinely search for lower prices & bring the lowest to my vet. She matches it without question. Hopefully yours will do the same.
