Wow sounds like things in the west coast aren't so wonderful. We east coast girls (especially north east) can not complain. Here in NJ we have 12 chapters and NY which is right next door has the most of any state, 32. Penn. has a lot too. So we don't feel very lonely at all. Actually sometimes having so many chapters near you is kind of a negative thing. I know at a certain other college the phi sigs are the biggest meanest hazing people ever! (i won't mention which college just in case they happen to see this post). I haven't met them personally but when my boyfriend told his friend who goes to that college that I became a Phi Sig, she was shocked that such a nice person as myself could have endured the totrture they supposingly put their girls through. And we are SO not like that! At our school we have the rep of being some of the nicest and not as snobby as some other sorority girls. So maybe sometimes being the only chapter around is a good thing. Because if one phi sig gets a bad rep in the state, everyone just assumes all of them are like that
