Check with your school's Greek Life or IFC offices to see what the process is for going through fraternity recruitment. It depends on your campus, but at a lot of schools being a sophomore is not a problem when it comes to receiving a fraternity bid. Some fraternities only hold recruitment events during specified times, like at the beginning of each semester or quarter. Others hold events and extend bids year-round. Again, depends on the school.
