As long as you pay the money you owe to the chapter by their requested date you should be fine (otherwise they can expell you ). This will show that you left the chapter while still in good standing. Because you will be out of school, you will take alum status but if you chose to come back to the chapter or decide to go to another chapter your active status can be reinstated. I think it just takes a chapter vote and some paperwork.
Like shopgirl suggested, get in touch with someone at Nationals they are really cool ladies and they know their stuff. If you're not sure who to e-mail just calll NHQ and tell the secretary who answers the phone your situation and she should be able to direct you to the correct person.
