I would be skeptical about a story like this..."beat him black and Blue"
but in my own experience as a Que a Brother in a previous grad chapter related that he sat his son down, who had expressed an interest in pledging Phi Beta Sigma, and told him point blank: "If you pledge Sigma, don't come home!" He was serious as a heart attack! The son is still not Greek to this day, but he has respect for Omega.
