Thank y'all very much for your insight. It seems like I will need to become super active in my new community, and maybe then I will have the opportunity to become acquainted with some of these distinguished alumnae.
Also, I will take into consideration my new schedule and responsibilities before I make a commitment to any type of new organization.
I am sorry if I offended anyone by using the term rush, or the nature of my post. I was not quite sure how the process worked and was only going off of my research and the knowledge I had from being an undergrad.
