If these were the exact events that happened and it could be proved, this would be considered a rush infraction.
If they just happened to meet casually, not set up through a relative contacting the national office, etc. then it would probably be okay. But this is kind of ridiculous. Meeting an alumnae to write a rec is OK, but meeting an active from the chapter you want to rush really just isn't kosher. The active should have better sense than that, and the girl probably doesn't realize it's a problem.
And isn't UF's rush pretty competitive too?
