Believe it or not, this was going on over in Iraq during Operations Iraqi Freedom, as the service members were prohibited from consuming alcohol. Some real bright-bulbs got the idea (probably from medics) to do alcohol enemas with surgical alcohol (i.e., ever-clear). When someone has not consumed alcohol for long period of time, the absorbtion by the intestinal lining hits them super hard, usually resulting in that the young man (...I never heard of any female Soldiers, Marines, or Airman doing this stunt) would be immediately totally inebriated and would usually lose bowel control shortly afterwards, usually in his pants.

Besides the disgusting nature of this practice, there is also a potential for the spread of blood-born pathogens, hepatitus, and even getting a perforated intestine.
