NPC sororities welcome members of all religions and races. Hence, there are no NPC Catholic or Christian sororities. Granted, at one time in our history this was not the case, and as a result, sororities were founded to accommodate members of other religions. Happily, this is no longer the case. It is unfortunate that this mistaken belief still exists, and that prospective members feel that they will not be welcome. AEPhi, DPhiE, ADPi, DDD, ZTA, and all the rest welcome members from all religions. I hope more campuses find a way to address this misconception because it might encourage more women to consider the benefits of sorority life.
