I think there's a difference between letting kids have their own sense of style that is different from when we grew up and letting little girls dress like tramps. And I'm sorry, but they do look like tramps. I have honestly seen girls abound 13-14 years old wearing clothes that are worse than what I've seen slutty-looking women wear to clubs...and that says a lot.
Maybe people will jump on me for this but, IMHO, if you're under 16 you really have no reason to be dressing like a sex kitten...you're in high school for christ sakes! And, if you're under 14, it's gross and down right inappropriate.
Ktsnake said that that's just the stores' selection these days...Is it easier to find skimpy clothes than "regular" clothes? Possibly. Does that make it right? No. Until they're 15/16, it's unlikely that they have jobs so mom/dad are paying for the clothes...maybe they should do a better job of monitoring what their kids are wearing. There so many fun styles out there that kids don't need to show skin in order to dress "cool."
