Thanks for sharing this...it actually made my eyes a bit misty. It's so heartfelt. I'm glad our son is going with us...it will help to have him with us on the way home. I actually think it's going to be hardest on him. They've always been so close...we got a dog a couple years ago to plan ahead for this transition. He sleeps with my son, and I'm sure they're going to be even bigger buddies now.
And I'm not going to worry about excessive bags anymore.
