My mom and my sister and I were just sitting there in shock. Poor McKayla! Especially after that beautiful vault in team finals. She seemed kind of pouty on the podium, but she seemed okay in the interviews. She pretty much said she was more disappointed in her performance than her actual medal, because she realizes what an honor it is to win a medal at the Olympics, period. She just knew she could have done better. It came off pretty well, I think. Better than I'm sure the Russians would have handled it, considering how they've burst into tears every time something didn't go their way (i.e. won silver).
