Gaby as All Around Gold medalist is one of the biggest surprises of the games.
It's interesting because six months ago, there was some speculation in the sport as to whether she was even cut out to be on Team USA (her age, new-ness to the international stage, and tendency to get nervy on vault.) She definitely has proved her critics wrong and done things that no one really expected she'd do.
If you polled 100 gymnastics fans/followers and asked them who would be the Individual Gold Medalist, 99 of them would have said Jordyn Wieber. Also interesting, as she ended up making the types of nervy mistakes that many thought that Gaby would make.
