Basically, when you accept a bid to a group, you are bound to that group until the next formal recruitment period at a minimum--I am unsure as to whether this rule specifies the next academic year or the next "calendar" year.

You can be re-accepted to the same group, even if they've since reached total. The question will be whether or not they wish to reissue a bid to you.
