I feel any time you are in letters you are representing the fraternity and should dress accordingly, Now what that means I guess is however you taught.
I know at my chapter we were taught we could nt drink in letters. You could smoke but you had to be sitting down. However when I moved up north they didnt seem to have aproblem with drinking in letters.
I personally feel I am representing Alpha Gam everyday because people who know me know I am in AGD and then could judge AGD on my dress or behavior. But I dont blow this out of proportion either.
I probably didnt make any sense but I feel as long as you are presentable(not showing key body parts) and not grossly clashing its all pretty petty and you should just adapt and know everyone is different.
