Grits are great.

If they are overcooked, they are nasty. I know some people mix jelly in their grits or bacon pieces.
My grandmother always told us to eat grits because they would "stick to your ribs". That means, you would not become hungry for a long time.
Hash, I'm not a fan of, but I love hash browns.
I eat traditional southern food (including dumplings). I am learning how to cook a few dishes, from "scratch".
