Just popping in to answer the above question with a yup. I was just initiated this year so I really don't know a lot about the behind the scenes planning, but from what I have seen it's a LOT of coordination and time, so much that I'm not quite sure how we could manage to hold it twice.
That being said, I know my chapter as well as others supplement it with a lot of smaller events (i.e. booths set up at other philanthropy events, sunglasses sales, teams for runs, etc. etc.). I'm sure the same thing goes for a lot of other sororities/fraternities.
