The "they've already died years ago" feeling hits me about celebs sometimes, too (including Mr. Dawson).
Anyone else recall when Benny Hill 'died' in mid-1980's, only to be shown LIVE IN PERSON onscreen when they announced his show/name as a nominee during a live, televised award show?
EVERYONE in my family who was watching simultaneously said aloud, "I thought Benny Hill was dead!"
Within ten years of that award show he 'died' (again).
