My friend, Lyn Harris, Chi Omega's Historian, reminded me that the Chi Omega Grand President, Edith Wardlaw, was deathly ill with typhoid fever when the invitation arrived and she was unable to attend. Alpha Chi Omega was also invited to attend the meeting as well, but a delegate was unable to attend.
