Such a busy time
Hypo's prom was Saturday night and she was beautiful. Senior honors night was last week and she got the high school Phi Beta Kappa award, was recognized for being in the top 10 and was given the Excellence in English award (each department recognizes one student for their achievement in that subject). The teacher who presented the English award was her creative writing teacher who encouraged her to enter the Scholastic Arts & Writing competition last year and who wrote recommendation letters for college and for Barnard's pre-college program. She talked about her gift for writing both creatively and analytically. It was so sweet. I wish I had gotten it on video, but I didn't know it was going to happen! AP tests were last week.
Tomorrow is senior skip day and hypo is legitimately sick. Poor kid. I think she ran herself into the ground last week. A week from tomorrow is her last day of high school with graduation on June 1st and her graduation party June 2nd.
It is starting to hit me that this is really happening.
