Back up off my husband!
I had just parked and was walking up to my apartment when I saw my man on my neighbor's TV. I called out "T, what are you watching?!" She paused her TiVO on Michael and called back, "You like this one, don't you?" Apparently, I'm predictable.
I watched it Saturday night while I was sitting (after the kids were in bed). I thought it was funny overall. The life partner jokes were a little over the top and not everything flowed but that’s expected since this is just the pilot. I’ve come to expect shows to be awkward in the first season when people aren’t settled into their characters yet. I was a little distracted by deliciousness so I had a hard time following the plot (
) but the relationship between the cops-from-different-worlds reminds me of the Tucker/Chan duo in Rush Hour (with more drama, less comedy). I look forward to seeing this season unfold because I think the show has a lot of raw potential. It may seem stiff and jokey now but I think it’s already quite good and it’ll improve very quickly as the newness wears off.
