nak-uh-tish is how you are supposed to pronounce it however the college crowd sometimes refers to it as nak-uh-trash or nak-uh-toe-cheese because its your your typical college town with nothing to do and its kind of country to most because of the size but I come from a rural community smaller than this town so its city to me. It's like the oldest town in the Louisiana settlement so the historical society better known as the histarical society plays a major role in what goes on in the city and where the money goes. Wal-Mart is "the mall" but new businesses are sprining up so its growing.
