Those who apsire to be a part of a fraternity or sorority should be able to attend multiple interest meetings. However, it has been somewhat taboo at my univeristy . Many students have never been exposed to greek life until they attend college. Those who have had some exposure (friends, family, community) can sometimes be misguided and base their choice of choosing an organization solely on sterotypes and hearsay. If one is able to attend multiple interest meetings it will only help them make the best decision in choosing the right organization for them. Why shouldn't one be given the opportuninty to learn about another organzation without scrutiny? Afterall, joining a greek organzation is a lifelong commitment.
