Did I miss where DZ NHQ thinks this matters and therefore contacted the producers of Glee?
If DZ did not/will not do that because this doesn't matter to them for a myriad of reasons, I don't see why non-DZs care beyond not finding the "joke" funny. And, no, it does not have larger implications for Greekdom.
If some of you are offended, protest by not watching Glee. I already do not watch it. Woopty woop. There ya go.
