All of that is going to depend on too many variables for us to answer that. In my situation, the sororities were required to have pricing to live in the houses the same as living in the dorms so that wasn't a thing. And I lived in an all girls' dorm and MANY of them were in sororities so as far as the type of women, they were very similar to my sorority house situation. But the house was huge, beautiful, had maids and cooks, and most importantly it had 60 sisters. It's a completely different world and is a home in a way a dorm never could be.

If you are not yet in college, except in a very few circumstances, you wouldn't be living in the sorority house your first year anyway so you don't have to worry about the differences. If you are getting ready for spring rush, you'll get an idea of the differences through the rush process.
