I figured there couldn't be too much discrepency...my $5 in 1983 translates to $10.51 in 2012 dollars; somehow, I think this will be way more. Fortunately, my son is worth it. Besides, how many young ladies get the opportunity to accompany a West Point cadet to a function? It's almost a patriotic duty, right?
