An idea that has worked in some chapters is to have older members and new members paired up each week. Actually, it works with all members too. Every week the pair takes time to meet to chat or get together for coffee. The time can be set up on their own schedule and keeps it nice and relaxed for the members.
This was a voluntary project in my chapter where we signed up each week. It was a ton of fun and worked!
