Okay, this is what I don't understand. They are a Jewish sorority! That's what they were founded on! And, I'd be willing to bet that their founders were all Jewish as well! The star of David is on their coat of arms (crest)! So, why in the world would you want to be in a Jewish-related sorority if you're not Jewish? That makes no sense to me...it would be like if I wanted to join a Latin-American or Asian-American sorority...I'm Caucasan...to me it just doesn't make sense!

I also think it was weird that girls who knew absolutely nothing about Judaism were interested in SAEPi. It's not simply b/c they were non-Jewish...it's b/c the way recruitment was handled, these potential new members had to rely on word of mouth or someone they knew to go to those recruitment parties. You have to wonder why a number of non-Jewish women went out of their way and sought out SAEPi. I mean, there's the chance they knew some girls in the house or just had good views of the house, but...I don't know. Looks like they're trying to get their 15 minutes.
If they had a formal recruitment where the ladies visited all the sororities, I think it would've fine for non-Jewish women to be interested in SAEPi b/c that means of all the houses, they felt the most comfortable there, not making religion an issue. Their interest wouldn't have been under suspicion.
