I hate to say it, but my memories of Theta are not exactly fantastic. There were a coupld of sweeties in there, i remember the President being a great girl and a wonderful greek and i'm sure she still is. But, we did Greek Week with them, and well, to have only 10 girls out of a house of about 80 show up to events was pretty apathetic. Kind of tarnished my image of their pride in their letters by their lack of drive but, they might be different now. Then again, that was only last semester. Definetly not a bad house, like I said, some girls were awesome, but, I really thought they would hold themselves to a higher standard.

i am a theta at syracuse university and i can't help but be upset by what was previously said by this poster. i understand that everyone is entitled to their opinions and it was your assesment of one experience (operative word here being
one), but to say that we have a "lack of drive" because we didn't have a good turn-out in some activities during greek week and then to go insult us further by assuming that because of this we don't have any pride in our letters? that couldn't be more ridiculous or anymore true. i know my sisters extremely well and speaking from experience, everyone in theta loves our house and we are very dedicated to it. it is not fair and ignorant to judge us from one negative experience that you had. i remember some of the events of greek week and i recall that not everyone from PKT showed up to every event either, but we did not judge the members of your house to have a lack of motivation or pride, and we wouldn't judge you from knowing so little about you. knowing a couple of sisters does not make you equipped to make an assumption about the whole house. believe me, every one of those girls in that house has very high standards, adheres to those standards, and i'm proud to be sisters with every single one of them, and i don't think that not attending broom ball during greek week goes against or tarnishes any of those standards.
but in keeping with the vein of what this thread was originally intended for and on a more positive note

: i love theta very much here. it is a wonderful house, the girls are so amazing that no matter how i try to attempt to describe them, it wouldn't do them justice, and pledging this house was one of the best things that i've done so far in college. theta has a great reputation at syracuse and although, it's far from perfect, it's pretty damn close to me
