If it gets the kids to STFU, I don't care what they have on the menu. The last thing I want to deal with in a restaurant is overhearing "please, just TASTE IT!" I don't think it's that the parents are "taking the trouble" to take their kid there - more like that's where they want to eat and they're stuck dragging the kid along.
