This is too funny. Just the mental image of the whole thing is making me laugh. Well, I honestly believe in the old saying "you are what you eat". So if he's consistently putting food that smells like that inside of his body, then he probably smells like that, too lol.

I've smelled food through some peoples pores before. It's usually people from other cultures/countries who eat a lot of the same foods. My grandparents are Italian (both born and raised in Toscana, Italy), and I remember the constant smell of garlic through their pores, it was kind of annoying. My dad did most of the cooking in our household, but he was born here, not in Italy, so he cooked a variety of foods. I thank him for that, or some of my peers in grade school and high school would have been like, "ewww cheerful, you smell like garlic lol.

Speaking of my dad, he started an Italian bakery (before he passed away) that my mom still runs/owns, and some of what we sell is so good. Yummy.
