I actually really like when people write out checks in stores.
There are people out there who 1) don't like to carry lots of cash, and 2) have had bad experiences with or don't believe in credit cards. If writing checks is what they need to do to keep organized and independent - particularly older people - more power to them.
If more cities would be progressive and create bike lanes, bikes on the road wouldn't be a problem. We have them here, and it makes a WORLD of difference. If a place is too behind the times to see this is something they should do, don't blame the bikers. They're just trying to be green, stay fit and save money.
