Legacy defined?

Hey all. I'm rushing this fall, and on the rush registration forms it was asked if I'm a legacy. The problem is, I'm not sure exactly how legacy is defined. My uncle (blood, not marriage if it matters,) is a Teke, pleged into a now inactive chapter. He's like a father to me; we're very close. Anyway, would this qualify toward legacy status? Is there such a thing as an indirect or partial legacy?

One other (unrelated) question. I'm technically a Junior at my university, but due to a change in majors I'm a sophomore in my program, i.e. I still have three years to go 'till I graduate including this coming. Will this be prohibitive toward my acceptance in a GLO?

I wasn't quite sure where this post belonged, so it has a twin over in the greek life forum.

Thanks,

J
