I put my arms around as far as they will go, go, go,
Oh, I don't care for pretty faces,
All I want is Hanna's graces,
Hanna my Delta Gamma!

Given that I've fought to keep my weight down since I was 13 years old, and that several sisters in our chapter were overweight, I have absolutely NO idea why we sang this during Rush! Granted, I went through and was initiated about 100 year ago, but still...

I always hated it too, but not because I was overweight (though I always have been 20% or more over top-of-the-range). I DESPISED the "fat girls now and then are cherished by the best of men."

I really didn't as an undergraduate, and don't now, think being "cherished" by "the best" is a goal I wanted to strive for.

But then, I loved the Romper Song and still find it in my head from time to time!
