My mom is a Delta Zeta and my dad is a Pi Lamda Phi. It's funny, when I started college I refused to Rush - my mom really thought I should go through it, but I refused. A year and a half later, after getting to know a bunch of the Kappa girls and going thru Informal Rush, I had to call her and say I had gotten a bid.
I'm sorry that I didn't take her advice, maybe I would have found my home at Kappa a bit earlier and had more time to spend with my wonderful sisters!
