Hi, all --
I've been home for about two hours and have gotten through all the e-mail. It was such fun to meet AGDLynn, and we recognized each other right away (it did help that she wore her rose drop). The house at Ga Tech is really neat and we had a thorough house tour.
After the conference I did indeed get to visit Carnation and her family. I last saw her (and her DH) in 1981--before children. They really do have 13 of them (and a dog) and the entire family really does fit into a 1400 s.f. house. The children (I met 10 of them) are well-behaved, very gracious (honestly!), and the household functions smoothly. They baked me a birthday cake and Carnation especially bought Blue Bell Ice Cream (made in the town where she and I first met). Very memorable!
Laundry calls, and after that, the "garden of weedin'".....
