Kind of reminds me of when I was in High School and mini-skirts were just coming on the scene. The vice principal used to make the girls get down on their knees, and if the skirt didn't reach the floor, they were sent home to change.
This administrator in question made a very dumb mistake.
As for salaries -- my wife taught high school for a number of years, and you couldn't pay me enough to put up with the crap that teachers get in some schools. Not only from the kids, but from the administration.
