How can I, as an African American woman, get someone who isn't, to understand where I and maybe even other african amerians are coming from?

Damn near impossible sometimes.
It takes a lot of talking, and sometimes yelling, and ALWAYS patience. It helps to approach it less as your life as a black woman, and more as a woman who is black, and whose race shades her experience.
It does work though. I have friends who are white and they 'get' it. I guess the test of whether or not that's true will be how they feel in 20 or 30 years, lol.
