What do bids look like?

Seeing the photos of the 2011 NMs at Auburn with their bids
(http://auburnalphagammadelta.blogspot.com/) led to this post. The bid that's in my scrapbook is on what was known as an 'informal' notecard (4.25 x 5.5, folded in half, white, with the coat of arms and "Alpha Gamma Delta" in gold). The handwritten text was "The women of Epsilon Alpha Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta extend the bonds of sisterhood to you." I believe I've also seen those bid cards with similar text printed, with a blank for the NM's name.

I understand that with pledge classes of 50 or more, writing bids by hand would be quite a chore. But the bids that these happy Auburn Alpha Gams are holding are computer printed on 8.5 x 11 paper. Colorful but casual.

Is that the style for everyone's bids these days?

Just curious!
